In our first race as a team in SSCA, we finished 2nd in the Lights class at the 12 Hours of Watkins Glen Long presented by Sim-Gear. In SSCA, we finished 4th at Sebring in our second race in the championship; later that year in SSCA, we finished 3rd in a special event with a Sauber, which ran in the GTP class.
We ended up 3rd with RCM in that OATAS 06/07 season in the GTP Lights class. RCM would then move to the NEW SSCA series, now with the ISI game of rFactor for endurance racing. In our first race with the new SSCA we won the 6 hours of Watkins Glen Long with our Corvette C6.R GT1 car and would go on to win the first 3 events in the new SSCA endurance series! We would finish the season 5th in points, and 3rd with our LMP1 car for the 07/08 SSCA season.
The team would race for the first time in Formula One at the prestigious Formula Sim Racing league in 2008 as well. The best the team got was a 5th place at Bahrain, in addition to numerous top 10's in the PRO division and the AMA division.
RC Motorsports history in the Bullrun 1000, the once annual world's greatest online roadracing simrace has been quite good. In 2007, RCM entered the 10th Annual Bullrun 1000, and with one car, the #3 Holden Commodore VE V8 Supercar they finished 2nd. In 2008, with three cars this time, the team won with the #4 Pontiac GTO and came 5th with the #3 Ford Mustang Cobra car. So the 11th Annual Bullrun 1000, and only RCM's second ever attempt at "The Bull" brought home victory for them, a pretty amazing feat for the team.
RC Motorsports is approaching its 3rd year anniversary in May of 2009, and it feels like the team has been around for awhile, due to all the great memories, drivers, and races the team has competed and won in! So the team looks forward to the new year of 2009, and continuing the success of 2008!!
